Als Grundsystem wird Arch Linux verwendet. Video output über die iGP. Zum Gamen wird Windows 7 Pro benutzt. Anstatt Daulboot, starte ich Windows 7 als VM mit QEMU. Als Video output wird hierfür die dediziert AMD HD 7950 benutzt. Dank " PCI VGA Passthrough on QEMU" funktioniert das verdammt gut. Der Leistungsunterschied (Leistungseinbußen wegen Virtualisierungsoverhead) zu einem nativen Windows 7 ist im einstelligen Prozentbereich. Alle gängigen Spiele laufen flüßig unter mittlereren bis höchsten Details (je nach Spiel). |
